Wise men say...

Fantasy love is much better than reality love. Never doing it is very exciting. The most exciting attractions are between two opposites that never meet.” ~ Andrew Warhola (as read on Paulo Coelho’s blog)

The more I think about this line, the more real it sounds. The journey to achieve a dream or attaining something almost impossible is sweeter than the sweet final outcome of having achieved it. The quest is intoxicating, once reached, is very gratifying, but what next?

And please believe me I do not make references to myself too much in my blog unless I explicitly state it. These are just thoughts and not my reality. This was thought provoking and the debate in my head is out in this post. The debate perhaps will still continue some more.

I totally agree to it!!
Take example of love marriages

A tall dark and handsome boy met a pretty girl. they fall in love after spending sometime together and decided to get married!!
Both were in some fantasy world but after marriage reality hit harder and they realizes each others shortcoming!! If they are smart enough to come out of the fantasy world and understand the practicality things will be fine
otherwise there will be clashes of thoughts first and then ego!!

And finally things goes beyond any repairment!!

its true in case of ownerships. for materialistc things. for things one wishes to achieve or win or overcome.

I agree that the point is the journey and not the destination but when it comes to love, i think that living it is better than waiting for it.
Nad since you don't put your experience in this example I would have to say that I have gone through both the states.
However, when I found love I just discovered the voyage was worthy...
In this point,in other words, the voyage took a meaning after reaching the destination.
For me actually...
Anyway have a nice day:)

I guess all this is a wordsmith's gimmick.

I don't understand the need to philosophise everything.

All my pea sized brain can think of is that if one considers love as a destination, there is an inherent flaw in logic. A relationship is a wonderful beginning, of two people getting to know each other, agreeing to disagree on every second thing and yet reaching a negotiated solution and so on.

Just my two cents.

Btw I could not help but hop over because of one of my fave songs as the title of the post.

That's true. But one cannot live his whole life in fantasy love. someday this is gonna collapse when he faces real life love.

My blog is about love. Maybe you can have a look if you want :)

I agree with you my dear. Fantasy world is much more beautiful than reality and that is why it is called 'Fantasy' means fantastic. What's wrong with it if we dream of something which we can never achieve. If this feeling gives you peace of mind it will help keeping you fit and will remove boredome of everyday nagging work. So live in this fantasy until you are contentent. Because in reality we are very unimportant.

Fantasy are dreams that we wish will come true, but deep inside we know it never will. So we enjoy having this little world and fantasies to ourselves. With out it you would simply be a boring person letting life pass you by. You have to dream in order to live your life and be rivied of it. Everybody dreams of something that keeps them going everyday!

Yes, fantasy is beautiful, but never achieving that fantasy is kind of depressing no? I'd rather know reality. That's just me.
